Constantly looking for the signs that the relationship is over; that the break up is coming. However there will come a day when you may realize that your relationship is over.
How Do You Know Your Relationship is Over?
You may see the signs of a break up. Everyone may say your relationship is over. However, you need to talk to your partner. You don’t want to guess your relationship status, since you may be wrong. The signs of a relationship in trouble are the same as a relationship experiencing temporary difficulties.
Do You Want Your Relationship to End?
When you realized your relationship was ending did you breathe a sigh of relief?
Before you talk to your partner you need to decide if you want your relationship to be over. Are you getting your needs met in your relationship? Do you feel you’re capable of meeting your partner’s needs? Are you happy in your relationship? You may well decide that you don’t want to stay with your partner.If you feel that way staying after your know your relationship is over will only make for a toxic environment.
Would You Be Willing to Work on Saving Your Relationship?
When you realized your relationship was ending did you start thinking of ways to save it?
If you both believe that your relationship is worth saving, you’ll need to start working on it now. If you believe your relationship is over, obviously you’re seeing signs of trouble. If you don’t solve these problems your relationship will eventually end. While this is something you need to decide, you also need to get your partner on board. If he doesn't want to stay in the relationship, you may need to let go.
If Your Relationship Is Over, Are You Ready to Let Go?
If you and your partner both realize that the relationship really is ending, you need to prepare yourself for the break up. He may break up with you or you may need to break up with him. Don’t try to prolong it. The longer you wait to end the relationship, the more pain you’ll experience, as resentment grows. If it’s over, you need to let go of your ex both physically and emotionally and that takes time. During that time you need to be apart.
You know the sky isn’t falling, just by looking up. However knowing your relationship is ending is not that easy. Sometimes you don’t know until it’s too late to do anything about it. When you do realize your relationship is over you have some important decisions to make. They’re difficult choices, but they must be made in order for you to have the life and relationship you deserve.
